About 40 current students, alumni, and friends of the Global Energy Management Program recently came together to take part in the Third Annual GEM Scholarship Golf Tournament.

Golf 3“The golf tournament is such a great event; current students and newer alumni have the opportunity to meet older cohorts and interact with faculty members outside of the classroom,” said Michele Motely, GEM Graduate Advisor. “It’s a nice event to catch up with fellow classmates you haven’t seen in a while and just enjoy being outside.”

While enjoying a relaxing day on the golf course filled with great camaraderie and excellent golf shots, participants also donated $200 towards the GEM scholarship fund.

Chris Hollmann, Josh Chebul, Brad Michalchuk, and Todd Peters were a part of the winning team. Second place winners were Chris Daunes, Craig Sisneros, Andrea Wagner, and Rondney Rice. The team that was awarded third place included Jeremy Martin, Blake Cannon, Brandon Blevins, and Jeremy Hancyk. An award for longest drive was also given out to Robert Fleming and Andrea Wagner.

“There was definitely a competitive edge this year that could be felt,” said Lizzy McNaney-Juster, GEM Program Coordinator. “It was especially nice to see so many bosses having been brought along by alumni to enjoy the golf.”
