The Global Energy Management Advisory Council has 2 New Members!

Welcome Chris Hollmann and Will Matthews!

The GEM Program is proud to announce two new members of the Global Energy Management Advisory Council.  At today’s meeting, members of the council welcomed Chris Hollman, Senior Landman, Pioneer Natural Resources and Will Matthews, Vice President of Marketing, Ensign Energy (see full bios below).  Both bring significant years of experience in the industry to the council.  The GEM Program looks forward to their future contributions in helping to guide GEM in its future endeavors.

The GEM Advisory Council consists of energy industry executives who provide continual guidance and support to the GEM Program in helping to guide the direction of the program.  The advisory council is instrumental in helping to shape the program’s curriculum to ensure that it is relevant and provides real-world training for GEM students.

Chris Hollmann, CPL – Senior Landman – Pioneer Natural Resources USA, Inc.

Chris received his B.A. in Business Administration from Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado in 2001 and his Masters of Science in Global Energy Management in 2011. Chris began his career working as a field broker with Springfield Oil Company in 2001 and in late 2002 he accepted an in‐house job with Evergreen Resources, Inc. He remained through the 2004 merger with Pioneer Natural Resources and currently works on various project in the Pioneer portfolio with a focus on the Rocky Mountain region. Chris is active in the Denver Association of Petroleum Landmen in which he has served in various roles over the past 6 years and recently became involved with the Western Energy Alliance.

Will Matthews, Vice President of Marketing, Ensign Energy Services

Will is a member of the management team at Ensign Energy Services, an international drilling and completion rig contractor with operations in twelve countries throughout the major plays in the U.S.

As Vice President of Marketing, his primary focus is on the identification and development of strategic opportunities for the future growth of the company.Prior to joining Ensign in 2007, Will served as the Rocky Mountain Sales Manager for the INTEQ division of Baker Hughes and as the International Marketing Manager of Orbit Valve Company. He is on the Advisory Board of the Western Energy Alliance and active in several other industry associations.

Will lives in the Denver area with his wife, Shaundra, and has three sons and one daughter.
