GEM Forges New Relationship with Japanese Business School

September 26, 2011

The GEM Program is gaining increasing international recognition, and relationships with international organizations.  On Monday, September 26, the GEM Program meet with Doshisha Business School out of Kyoto Japan.  Prof Yamaguchi, an instructor of the Doshisha’s Green MBA meet with UCD’s Business School GEM Program and Sustainability Specialization.

Prof. Yamaguchi was traveling the US forging international and academic relationships with Programs his research deemed as successful. The purpose of the visits are to foster communication between the programs, and allow programs to learn from each other as well as assist one another with experts in the field.  The Doshisha program is different from the GEM Program, as it focuses mainly on energy efficiency in business, and corporate social responsibility, which is a compliment to the energy specific business education GEM graduates receive.

Kyoto and Denver are closer in energy values than their distance would suggest.
